COMMISSIONS
Alex would be thrilled to work with you and your choir on bringing a new piece to life. While his role at the Pensacola Children's Chorus involves regular composition and arranging, he is not a professed composer. He prefers to take on projects of significance and relevancy. What does this mean for you? It means that your commissioned work will be completely unique and tailored to your ensemble. Alex prefers to solicit feedback from singers to develop theme, mood, and text. This experience makes the piece's premiere all the more meaningful to your singers and organization.

Alex recognizes the fluctuating and often uncontrollable financial predicaments of choirs and is therefore happy to work with directors within their means. Typically, a three-minute commission starts at $1,000, but please don't let that figure preclude your initial contact.

Again, Alex would be honored to write a piece for your choir. To begin the conversation, email Alex or contact him at (850) 434-7760.

Based on an original song by Eddie Robertson, an incarcerated person in the State of Ohio, this song speaks to the resilience and healing power of genuine connection. With clear gospel influence, the song is a balm for those reaching out for help and a poignant reminder that we must be sensitive and open to the needs of the people closest to us.
